ABOUT  US

D. A. Mathews + Associates, LLC was founded in 2006 by Doug Mathews. Doug graduated from Northern Illinois University (go Huskies!) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and he is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).  After college, he worked in public accounting for 9 years, the first two of which were at Clifton Gunderson & Co.  There, he audited small businesses, gaining experience in analyzing internal operations and financial performance. The following seven years were spent at John S. Bubula CPA where he provided accounting, bookkeeping and tax services to several small businesses including preparing payroll, business and personal tax returns. Doug feels his nine years in public accounting were essential in preparing him for what he has now been doing on his own for over 15 years.
